Thousand Suns
Live @Artisan, Key Biscayne, FL. October 19, 2024
Based on recounts of Claude Robert Eatherly, the weather reconnaissance pilot that supported the dropping of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan, August 6, 1945. This is an English adaptation of the SOMA songs named “Mil Soles”.
Andres plays his most demanding piano composition, and a mesmerizing solo at the end. Piña shows his prog-rock fundamentals exchanging metrics from 4/4 to 3/4 and to 6/8 during the final drum solo.
This was also the debut song for Saros on lead vocals. The video shows real footage of atomic explosions from the American archives, no A.I. was used on this video.

And English adaptation of “En Jaque” by SOMA, this song is about making sacrifices in life in order to achieve a better future, specifically in love relations, when scarifying your queen means letting go your loved one.
This song features one the band's best bass line (played with the left hand), as well as very fast keyboard melodies. Andres shows his skills as a sound designer too. As for the drums, Piña basically plays a drum solo the whole song, demanding great estamina a precision from him. During the keyboard solo, Piña switch to the handsonic to accompany with a percussion solo.

Terraforming Mars
Live @Artisan, Key Biscayne, FL. October 19, 2024
This was the intro song for the concert, an organic instrumental 100% performed live, no backing tracks or clicks, this is the closest it can get to a live jam session. Constantly changing keys and non-diatonic scales define this composition. The rhythm is a funk-rock fusion that gives the song the “organic feel”.
